Other   "The reserve is an important area of ancient semi-natural woodland. In early mediaeval times it was part of the royal manorial estate of Leighton, hence its name 'King's Wood'." (Natural England)

The reserve is 0.5 km north of Heath and Reach village, 2 km south of Leighton Buzzard.
