How do I obtain planning permission? To obtain planning permission you need to contact your relevant local authority. You may also need additional planning consents such as Listed Building Consent or Conservation Area Consent. In addition, you will need to meet the Building Regulations. Buildings regulations approval seeks to ensure that health and safety concerns are met, to ensure disabled access and to examine energy issues. Contact your relevant local authority for more information. Copies of Building Regulations are kept at Bedford Central Library. Where can I obtain maps for planning permission? Local District Councils can provide maps for planning permission. There is a fee for this service. Contact your relevant District Council for details. Libraries cannot supply maps for planning permission under copyright legislation. |
