   Electoral Registers and Postal and Proxy Votes
This section explains where you can view electoral registers (voters' list) in Bedfordshire to check an entry, how to get your name added to the register and how to obtain a postal or proxy vote.
   
  Register   Electoral Registers (Voters' Lists)

Each council maintains the Electoral Register (voters' list) for their area. These are kept at the
Electoral Registration Offices based in each of the three district councils and Luton. They hold a full version of the register which cannot be copied and an edited register which can be copied or bought from them. The edited register excludes the names and addresses of people who have requested that those details are not included in that version of the register.
  • Bedford Borough
    Bedford Central Library has copies of the edited register for the whole of Bedford Borough.  Bromham, Kempston, Putnoe and Wootton libraries hold edited registers for their local areas. Copying is allowed. The full version can be inspected at the Town Hall, St Paul's Square, Bedford MK40 1SJ during office hours. Only hand-written notes can be made.
  • Mid Bedfordshire District
  • South Bedfordshire District
    Dunstable and Leighton Buzzard Libraries have copies of the edited  register for the whole of South Bedfordshire. Copying is allowed. The full version can be inspected at the District Offices High Street North Dunstable LU6 1LF during office hours. Only hand-written notes can be made.
