Support Bureau and Information Helpline (Direct Link)
This organisation offers advice and supports carers.
It also runs the Carers Voucher Scheme on behalf of Bedfordshire County
Council. This scheme provides a paid carer to look after someone whilst a

Service
This free service based in London is 'for
people with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, their families carers
or friends. It helps them to understand their legal rights, suggests
what they might do to improve their situation and where appropriate
intervenes to represent them.' DLS

The DRC runs a Disability
Information Service from its HQ in Dunstable for the whole of Bedfordshire.
It offers
information about equipment, holidays, leisure, travel, benefits and employment. The Bedford office has now closed.
