Where can I find Anglican Parish Registers?

  • Bedfordshire Libraries have transcribed Bedfordshire parish registers and parish registers on microfiche. Transcribed parish registers are in books (indexed by event and surname) and cover the period up to 1812.  Microfiche parish registers cover varying periods from 1812-1982.  They are not indexed.
  • Bedfordshire and Luton Archives Services have transcribed Bedfordshire parish registers and parish registers on microfiche. Transcribed parish registers are in books (indexed by event and surname) and cover the period up to 1812.  Microfiche parish registers cover varying periods.

Where can I find Non-Anglican Registers?

Where can I find Non-Ecclesiastical Birth and Death Registers?

Where can I find the International Genealogical Index?

  • This index (compiled by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) is to birth, baptism, marriage and death/burial records from parish and non-conformist registers from c.1500 to c.1880. It is not comprehensive. However, it is being updated regularly as more records are added to the database. The 'International genealogical index' (IGI) is available on the Internet and on microfiche in some Bedfordshire Libraries.

Are there any web sites that will help?
