The Corner at Dunstable Library
In June 2009 The Corner area in Dunstable Library had a makeover, a group of teenagers called The Corner Crew successfully applied for a grant of almost £5,000 to pay for new furniture and computer equipment. To celebrate the success of our teenagers we decided to le-launch The Corner.
We officially reopened the area with speeches and ribbon cutting: we held a sponsored leg wax and raised nearly £100 for the LUBYA (Luton and Bedfordshire Youth Association). We had live music by a band called Discretion from Manshead School, and a dance demonstration from Urnanism Real Street Dance.
