Photographs and Prints

• There is a large collection of local photographs and prints at Bedford Central Library. The collection covers many of the towns and villages in Bedfordshire
• You can see some of the library's photographs online at the People, Places and Subjects sections of Local and Family History
• There are also many local photographs online at the local newspaper web sites Bedford Today and Dunstable Today. At each site's menu, click 'Picture the past' for old photos and 'Photos today' for recent ones
• You can also search for old photographs of Bedfordshire's towns and villages at many of the web sites listed at Gateway > Images and clipart > Images. See, for example, the Francis Frith Collection, Images of England and English Heritage Viewfinder
