The 'Bedfordshire magazine', which has now ceased, published articles on the life and history of Bedfordshire. All aspects of Bedfordshire life were covered, including the history of villages, trade and industry, flora and fauna, Bedfordshire culture and traditions and biographies of notable Bedfordshire people The magazines are available in bound volumes. Each volume contains approximately two years-worth of issues. There is a comprehensive index to the first twenty volumes The first issue was published in the summer of 1947 and subsequent issues followed at three-monthly intervals.
