Byki Online is a powerful language-learning system that uses flashcards
to teach you a set of words or phrases - a very fast way to lock foreign
words and phrases in your long term memory

in a foreign language 'Before you Know It' (Byki)!

Your first visit
- Log in above and follow the instructions on screen until you reach the
page 'Log in to Byki Online'
- Click 'Sign up with barcode or user ID'
- Enter your library card number
- This will take you to a page headed 'Registration on Byki Online'
- Enter a user name and password of your choice and fill in the rest of
the
registration details
- Click 'Create account'
- Back at the 'Log in to Byki Online'
page, enter your chosen user name and password and click 'Log In'
- You will see a window headed 'Welcome to Byki Online!
Future visits
- Log in at the Virtual Library and follow the instructions on screen until you reach the
page 'Log in to Byki Online'
- At the page 'Log in to Byki Online' simply enter your chosen user name
and password and then click 'Log In'
Using Byki
- Click the button 'Start with Byki's Guided Tour' to discover how to
make the most of Byki. Byki has many features so the guided tour is
strongly recommended!
- On Byki, different languages have different features available.
For example, some
languages offer a language overview, a blog where you can also
learn about the related culture, short videos, a word of the day feature
and/or a proficiency test, in addition to the basic Byki
features
- Byki keeps track of your progress so
each time you revisit the site you can continue from where you left off
- You can also take Byki Online
language-learning on-the-go free with your Apple iPad, iPhone or
iPod touch! At the Byki Online page,
click the 'Byki Mobile' button and follow the simple instructions
