Where can I find basic information sheets
about mental health issues?

• At the Information section of the MIND web site there are many online factsheets and booklets, including the "Understanding" series on stress, anxiety, depression, phobias, dementia, schizophrenia and many other topics
• You can also find leaflets on many such topics at Mental health information on the Royal College of Psychiatrists web site. Some leaflets are for people needing information for themselves and some are specially for carers, parents and teachers
• Many topics are covered in the Mental health section of the NHS Direct mental health encyclopedia
• There are brief guides on the BBC health pages, including basic checklists of symptoms and ways to cope
