After spending seven weeks at Chatham, Wray was sent to Winchester, Pool in Dorset and Limmington. On the 1st May he was sent to Guernsey on the Elizabeth transport and after 11 days reached the New Ground Barracks. Wray was then called to arms against mutineers from the 60th Regiment.
