Granada Cinema

The Granada Cinema in St. Peter’s Street was opened by on the 15th December 1934 with seating for 1,690 with 694 in the circle. The first film was "The Thin Man". In the spring of 1974 the restaurant was closed was converted into a small cinema, known as Granada 2. The cinema closed on 2nd December 1990 with "Exorcist 3". Demolition of the building started on 14th January 1991.
