We've got some great music coming into our libraries over the next few months. Why not have a look at some of the selected titles listed below and reserve your copy to beat the rush?
James
Blunt "All the lost souls"
Can James Blunt match the dazzling success of his debut album "Back to Bedlam"? Well, on the evidence of this album he's certainly giving it a very good try. This album is essentially a charming combination of 70s inspired pop and mild acoustic rock. It may not get your pulse racing, but it's certainly great listening for fans and newcomers alike. Available late December.

Foo
Fighters "Echoes, silence, patience and grace"
Sure it may have an unwieldy title, but this is a welcome return for Dave Grohl's Foo Fighters. This is their sixth album together and the magic shows no sign of waning. This album sees them slightly softening their stadium rock formula, with the introduction of a few more thoughtful, acoustic songs. Fantastic. Available beginning of January.

Jamelia
"Superstar"
Jamelia has a brace of MOBO and BRIT awards to her name. Why not rent this album and remind yourself why? You may be surprised how many tracks you know off this album, including the stand-out track "Superstar", and also "See it in a boys' eyes" and "Thankyou". Available beginning of January.

Devendra
Banhart "Smokey rolls down thunder canyon"
There is a nomadic, folky feel to the prolific Banhart's seventh album. This work is a real grower, full of melancholic humour. It also features some very interesting guest vocals, particularly from Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal. If you don't know Banhart's work, now is the perfect time for you to get acquainted! Available beginning of January.

P
J Harvey "White Chalk"
This is the seventh album from indie cult supremo P. J Harvey, and marks yet another twist in her remarkably varied career. The music is based almost entirely on minimal piano and organ figures, featuring almost no guitars or percussion instruments at all. It's a unique album, proving that Polly Harvey is a unique artist. Available beginning of January.

Ian
Brown "The world is yours"
Ian Brown just keeps getting better as an artist. This album mixes Brown's swaggering, one-of-a-kind vocals, with hypnotic dance beats, electronica and baggy rock. This is a real treat for those of us who remember, and love, the nineties Manchester scene! Available at the end of January.
