What is WiFi?

WiFi is wireless technology which connects you to the Internet, at Broadband speed, using low power radio waves.

Where are the WiFi libraries?

Click on the library name below to see their address, opening hours and contact details.

How do I use the Library WiFi?

There are two ways to access the Internet using WiFi - all you have to do is log on with your library card number and PIN.
Not a member?  Click here to join online.

Is the library WiFi secure?

This is a trial project. While the trial runs we would advise you not to transmit personal or sensitive information using the Potton WiFi.

Is there a download limit?

Yes - You can download a maximum of 100MB in a hour long session.
The Library Service anticipates that users of WiFi will adopt a sensible approach to the use of the service. Where there is cause for concern over an individual's use of WiFi the MAC address of your device may be blocked without warning to ensure fair and equitable access to the network.

What should I do if I have a technical problem?

There should not be any problems.  However, if you do experience any difficulties talk to a member of staff or call 01234 228787 (Open Monday to Friday 9.00 - 5.00pm, there is an answer phone out of office hours)

So turn up, switch on, connect and have a go!
