Charges for replacing lost or damaged items
The replacement charge for a lost or damaged item is
the listed price on the catalogue, plus £1.00. If there is no listed price on
the catalogue then a member of staff will identify the cost.
Magazines replacement charges are the face value plus 60p.
There is no charge for damage to items
borrowed by or for a child 0 - 5 years.
British Library Lost book charge is the actual cost to replace the book plus £3.30 admin
fee.
(There is an 50% refund if the book is returned to the British Library within 6
weeks)
